Pelvic Power - a Franklin Method Workshop
In person AND livestream
Saturday, November 2nd ~ 2:00-5:00pm
Held in person at the Bhakti Yoga Movement Center AND online via Zoom
Using Franklin Method mental imagery and experiential anatomy of the pelvis, we will explore how to find more ease and connection in many daily life movements (getting in and out of a chair - squatting - and walking) as well as how this might relate to other exercises or asana.
The pelvis is the mediator and the center of forces throughout the body and connecting to the intelligent design and functional possibilities within the pelvis can create ease throughout our whole system! We appreciate our anatomy in motion in this workshop, sensing the subtle (and important), natural movement within the bones of the pelvis. It's you connecting to you - shining a light on the experience of what's happening within.
All are welcome and there will be options for all. Recording will be available to all participants.
$57 - replay included

A Scoliosis Exploration
This 4-week course is for people with scoliosis or for movement professionals who work with those with scoliosis. Scoliosis can feel like a scary diagnosis, but it doesn’t have to be. Our philosophy is that understanding the body more - how it is designed, how it moves, and how it adapts - enables us to work with the body’s patterns to improve balance and function with ease.
-
Dissection & Embodiment Experience
Dates for 2024 labs: July 14-20 or October 6-11.
Work with a group of fellow explorers to journey through the body layer by layer by dissecting unfixed cadavers in small groups with expert guidance. Then apply and experience your new hands on insights in motion through Franklin Method-based embodiment of the tissues, bones, and organs.

“She is a treasure as a person
& a teacher.”
“As a physician, I have seen a great deal of benefit in her methods, which truly emphasize working with what one has, with no sense of a " one size fits all" approach. She tailors the yoga to my body and has enabled me to do my best.”

Dynamic Cueing for Yoga
Traditional cues can easily become redundant and limiting. Whether you’ve been teaching yoga for a long time or you’re a new teachers, cueing is the way we guide our students - and that guidance can offer so much more than just rote positional direction.
