Exploring the Hamstrings and Hip Flexors

In person AND virtual

Saturday, April 19th

3:00-5:00pm Pacific

In this workshop, we'll use experiential anatomy and accessible movements to delve deeper into the joyful balance of hamstrings and hip flexors that shows up in daily life and in yoga poses. As these are muscles that relate the spine to the legs, by understanding their design we'll feel stronger in our centers, better in our backs, and more free in our walking.

  • Exploring Fat/Adipose

    December 6th: 3:00-5:00pm PST

The stuff barely mentioned in anatomy - and it's everywhere in the body! In this body- positive movement class, we'll understand the unsung functions of fat and move with imagery to connect with it as well as with the superficial fascial layer. We often think of muscles and deep fascia as being the functional aspects of movement, but we'll see there is a LOT happening with our adipose and it deserves to be experienced just like any other aspect of the body.

“She is a treasure as a person
& a teacher.”

“As a physician, I have seen a great deal of benefit in her methods, which truly emphasize working with what one has, with no sense of a " one size fits all" approach. She tailors the yoga to my body and has enabled me to do my best.”
